A new Business Development Manager opportunity exists with this privately owned business that has an enviable track record of over 40 years of successful operation. As part of a continued investment in Victorian and Southern States the Business Development Manager will have responsibility for key account management and client development. We are looking to attract high-caliber professionals with the desire to work with a dynamic business looking at growing market share. The role is designed to take full responsibility for developing and maintaining strong business relationships with existing clients, whilst being part of a dedicated team of Business Development Executives in order to boost sales revenue and profitability across the region.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with existing clients
- Expanding our client base across the southern states
- Regular travel to visit clients in person – it’s a face-to-face role that will see the BDM on the road most of the week
- Becoming a product expert and sharing that expertise with clients
- Proactively planning and executing activities to help clients win business
- Building close, collaborative relationships with our in-house teams across customer service, production, and logistics
You will have a strong track record in sales, marketing and business. You will be confident in nature, self-motivated and results orientated, yet down to earth and hands on. Key to your success will be your ability to build rapport with a variety of stakeholders and provide an outstanding customer experience through superior servicing and pro activity. Your ability to plan, think strategically and execute are critical, as is your ability to work both in a dynamic and fast paced team environment along with the ability to work on occasion autonomously where your superior initiative will come to the fore. You will be tenacious by nature, have a professional demeanor with the ability to problem solve and influence others.
