The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a pivotal executive leadership role, responsible for strengthening financial performance, supporting operational delivery, and guiding the continued growth and professionalism of the business.
As the organisation advances towards and beyond the $50M revenue milestone, the CFO will oversee all financial and administrative functions, including reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, compliance, and strategic financial planning. The role requires a commercially astute leader with a proven record of scaling businesses and deep experience across fabrication, construction, and lifecycle management of capital-intensive infrastructure in agricultural, mining, or industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership across all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and statutory reporting in line with IFRS standards.
- Deliver clear, data-driven insights to support decision-making by the CEO and Board.
- Manage cash flow, capital planning, collections, and funding strategies to enable sustainable growth and operational resilience.
- Lead risk management, insurance, audit, and compliance frameworks.
- Strengthen governance and internal controls suited to an asset-intensive, growth-stage business.
- Support corporate development initiatives, including M&A, partnerships, and expansion opportunities.
- Contribute to commercial negotiations, pricing, and costing across products, installations, and service agreements.
- Drive operational efficiency and establish performance measurement across the project and asset lifecycle.
- Lead the transformation of business systems, delivering an integrated ERP platform to replace fragmented tools and improve scalability (transitioning from QuickBooks Online; NetSuite experience advantageous).
Experience & Qualifications
- CA/CPA (or equivalent) with relevant tertiary qualifications.
- 10+ years’ progressive experience in senior finance and leadership roles.
- Prior CFO experience with demonstrated success in scaling a business during a growth phase.
- Strong background in fabrication, construction, installation, and/or operational management of infrastructure or agricultural facilities.
- Proven track record in ERP and finance systems transformation, ideally including exposure to platforms such as NetSuite.
