Reporting to a highly commercial and strategic CFO the role is effectively accountable for the entire finance function. Given the dynamic nature of the Group, the role will evolve continuously and therefore the responsibilities and tasks listed are non-exhaustive but include:
- Leading, managing and developing a sizable finance team/function;
- Developing “best practice” management reporting to support stakeholders across the Group;
- Ensuring all relevant statutory, tax and financial reporting obligations are met within the legislated/prescribed timeframes;
- Ensuring effective accounting and reporting systems, procedures and controls are established and maintained that deliver effective financial control for the Group;
- Taking a leadership role and responsibility for the implementation of any/all new accounting-based systems;
- Leading day to day interactions with the auditors during key reporting periods;
- Acting as a contact for the ATO relating to corporate income tax, indirect tax and any other related tax issues; and
- Management of the Treasury function.
The complexity, diversity and scale of the business will suit a driven and highly technical, forward-looking finance leader. You will have gained strong technical accounting training, either in a chartered accounting and/or similar head office accounting environment in a large ASX listed, PE or multinational corporate environment.
