This is an exciting time to join a well known Victorian enterprise which provides a range of innovative digital products and services to Victorians every day. The business is committed to enhancing the experience of its customers and as part of its pursuit of excellence is undertaking a highly transformative and comprehensive change program. Following a recent restructure the organisation now seeks to appoint a career minded Internal Audit professional to join its Risk & Assurance team.
Reporting to the Head of Risk & Audit your mandate will primarily be to ensure that the organisation’s risk management framework and internal audit and compliance programs meet the ongoing requirements of the business. As a key and senior specialist contributor, you will be expected to work with all levels of the organisation, providing insightful and pragmatic advice to the Leadership Team and to the Audit & the Risk Committee whilst working ‘hands on’ and collaboratively with every business unit, using your technical subject matter expertise and your energetic, collegial style to coordinate reviews and to continuously develop and implement internal audit programs which deliver best practice risk management policies, controls and compliance procedures. Highly influential, you will also be expected to promote and to foster a culture which incorporates risk-based methodologies and compliance as critical and effective ‘value adds’ in operational and strategic decision making.
This broadly scoped role is likely to appeal to a highly motivated and experienced Risk & Audit professional, either with a background in Big4 or a substantial commercial enterprise, who is seeking an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success of a rapidly evolving consumer services enterprise. Previous experience in managing and developing Internal Audit programs is essential (exposure to technology services would be ideal) as is your hands on approach to delivering meaningful, value-added outcomes and your ability to build influential and highly collaborative working relationships.
