Dean & Ling Executive have been engaged to appoint a Manufacturing Operations Manager to take full leadership responsibility for a significant manufacturing operation of 100+ staff.
Reporting to the Group Directors, this is a senior operational leadership role responsible for the end-to-end performance of the manufacturing business, including production, engineering coordination, planning, procurement, quality, safety, and commercial delivery.
This role sits at the heart of the business and is responsible for ensuring efficient, consistent, and high-quality output across a complex, engineered-to-order manufacturing environment.
You will:
- Lead all manufacturing and production operations across a multi-disciplinary workshop
- Lead and develop production, planning, procurement, quality, and operational teams
- Oversee coordination between engineering and production
- Manage supplier performance, subcontractors, and key material flows
- Drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, efficiency, and workflow
- Ensure compliance with relevant transport and manufacturing standards and regulations
- Act as a key interface between operations, sales, and the Group Directors
This is a highly visible leadership role with direct influence over business performance, customer delivery, and operational outcomes.
The ideal candidate will be a proven manufacturing or operations leader with experience in heavy industrial, engineered-to-order, or transport equipment environments.
You will bring strong operational capability, commercial awareness, and the ability to lead large teams in a fast-paced production setting.
This role will suit candidates from sectors such as transport equipment manufacturing, mining and resources fabrication, defence manufacturing, industrial equipment, or large-scale workshop operations.
A tertiary qualification in engineering or business is highly regarded but not essential. Trade-qualified and operationally strong leaders are strongly encouraged to apply.
