This is a rare opportunity to join a highly respected Australian business which has successfully developed and commercialized a market leading portfolio of innovative products and services intended to improve healthcare outcomes for customers around the globe. The business is backed by a substantial Melbourne based multinational and supports a small and collegial Australian Head Office which is professional, entrepreneurial and down to earth.
Reporting to the GM Finance you will primarily be responsible for the integrity of the GL and for the preparation of the periodic financial accounts and monthly management reports for the Group. You will help to review and analyse budget variances and costs, monitor ongoing compliance with statutory reporting requirements, support the periodic external audit review and also ensure that the business meets its Direct and Indirect taxation compliance requirements. As a key member of a small dedicated finance team you will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to the broader enterprise, by working collegially with a range of stakeholders both locally and overseas to ensure that the finance function continues to effectively support the ongoing needs of the business.
This newly created role is likely to appeal to an experienced qualified CA/CPA who is now seeking a broadly scoped, ‘hands-on’ and autonomous role in a small Head Office finance function of a growing international enterprise. You might already possess some experience in industry, either gained in a similar role in a multinational Corporate or perhaps in a fast-paced SME environment, or you might be a commercially astute Senior Chartered Accountant seeking to move into industry for the first time. In either case you are likely to demonstrate a collegial & professional work ethic and possess a strong technical understanding of taxation principles.
