Senior Finance Business Partner

  • Significant ASX Listed Manufacturing & Distribution Business
  • Divisionally Embedded – Commercial Performance Improvement Focus
  • $200,000 - $250,000 Package + Bonus

Dean & Ling Executive has been engaged exclusively to support one of Australia's leading manufacturing businesses that provides high-performance products and solutions for its blue-chip customer base in a critical sector globally.

As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you'll sit alongside the operational and commercial leaders and help them understand where performance stands, why it's happening, what's likely to happen next, and what to do about it.  Core accountabilities include:

  • Reporting and analysis: Deliver timely, accurate budgets, forecasts and month-end reporting across P&L, cash and working capital, linking financial outcomes to operational causes and leading performance reviews that drive action.
  • Commercial and contracts: Join key contract negotiations, build and manage Pricing Review Models, own customer rebates across the divisions, and assess the profitability impact of enterprise agreement proposals.
  • Inventory and controls: Make sure on-site, off-site and customer-located inventory is accurately accounted for and reconciled and investigate the root cause of significant or repeated variances.
  • Capital and compliance: Help prepare capital business cases, work with the FC on accounting standards, and support internal and external audits.
  • Insight and influence: Spot trends, recommend improvements and provide insight on cost, efficiency and commercial performance to shape decisions.
  • Leadership: Lead and develop a small team and take on other projects as needed.

What you'll bring

  • CA or CPA qualification with 10+ years' senior-level experience, ideally in a manufacturing-based business.
  • Strong accounting, financial management and reporting skills.
  • Advanced financial modelling, including experience developing standard costing and activity-based costing models.
  • Solid knowledge of cashflows, NPV and other valuation metrics.
  • Systems experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 (or a similar ERP).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and relate to all levels of management.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • A sound understanding of business and site processes.
