Our client is a leading, customer-focused health and well-being company with a diverse portfolio of innovative products and services. A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an adaptable, commercially minded Employment Lawyer with experience in employment/workplace law and dispute resolution to join their established and highly regarded in-house Legal team.

As part of a high-performing and collaborative legal function, you will provide expert legal advice on a wide range of employment, industrial relations, and workplace matters. Key responsibilities include advising on employment contracts, performance management, termination, workplace health and safety, diversity, and compliance with modern awards and enterprise agreements. You will also manage and advise on pre-litigation matters, represent the business in disputes before courts and industry bodies, including the Fair Work Commission, and provide input on collective bargaining and industrial instrument interpretation. The role also includes managing external counsel and preparing documentation for mediations and conciliations.

You will be a versatile senior lawyer with 6+ years’ PQE and strong expertise in employment and workplace law, dispute resolution, and ideally, advocacy. Experience advising on complex regulatory and contentious matters is essential, alongside a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach. Confident working independently in a fast-paced commercial environment, you will bring sound judgment and the ability to build trusted relationships across a wide range of stakeholders. Advocacy experience before the Fair Work Commission or similar forums will be highly regarded. Melbourne based.
