Resources Safety and Health Queensland (RSHQ) is the independent regulator of worker safety and health in Queensland's mining, quarrying, petroleum, gas and explosives industries.

The Occupational Health (OH) division within RSHQ is seeking an experienced Data Quality professional to establish our Data Quality team within the Health Surveillance Unit. You will build data quality and governance programs aligned with best practice to improve and maintain our data assets across the division, and engage with stakeholders to influence data quality outcomes.

This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis.

If so, the role of Senior Project Officer in our Data Quality team could be for you.

This is your opportunity to lead, establish and implement data quality programs from the ground up, working in collaboration with other teams in the OH division to improve the quality of our data assets.   

You will guide, motivate and support your team to deliver data quality programs that are consistent with best practice information management principles.

What we are looking for:

  • Excellent leadership and people management capability, including timely performance and workload management.
  • High level experience in the development and implementation of data quality programs, ideally in the management of large data sets.
  • Strong problem solving skills and a proactive mindset.
  • Well-developed communication and facilitation skills (written and oral) with an ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and demonstrate leadership to make decisions in a dynamically changing environment.
